Spoiler Warning!!!:
I loved the initial twin relationship Alexa and Marcel had but then the author went ahead and killed him off. Then I liked Rylan and Marcel and the fact that he’s loved her all along and kept her secret that she was a girl this whole time but didn’t treat her different to hide her identity. Then Alexa goes ahead and falls in love with the prince which I think was just virgin lust and the fact that he kissed her before Rylan. Like if Rylan kissed her first would she have felt differently about him?? Also the prince was an asshole to her the whole time and now all of a sudden he’s the good guy and makes her fall in love with him while still hiding stuff from her and saving her while the sole intent to have her fight for him. No that definitely rubbed me the wrong way. Then Rylan’s brother, Jude is killed by Iker (what is with all the abandonment in this book??). Then Alexa gets badly scarred from Iker’s fire and when all is set and done and Damian wants to make her his queen she refuses because she doesn’t have any self worth. Great.

My only complaint is that I can’t really see how there can be a whole other book in this series. Everything seems to have been tied up in a pretty bow. The only thing left is the romantic situation, and I don’t think that requires a whole book to fix. To be determined if the other books are any good.
