★★★☆☆ 2.5/5 this just didn’t work as a classic retelling written in modern language

i liked this a lot but most of it missed a certain edge i felt it needed, the only section that had that sharp feeling was the section about the fifty, that had the edge i needed out of the story

It was okay at first but then it became so so so disjointed with the changes in POV characters and their voices. I just didn’t have any interest in reading it.

i really enjoyed the one million different perspectives in this book. a lot of them kinda overlapped and sounded similar, but the idea was unique and well-executed. it definitely slogged at points though, maybe a little (or a lot?) longer than it needed to be. rip hercules that guy sucks
