Silly, spicy fun. Super fast read, not a ton of substance but some solid family dynamics and lots of chemistry.

It was an interesting story. I predicted some of the main plot points around midway through, but I still enjoyed reading them. Both Rhett and Summer were good MCs. They had different views on things but slowly learned to understand and work together.

I am curious who the characters are for the other books. I have a feeling it's Rhett's two brothers (as they are both single, I think), maybe Rhett's dad (something said about Summer's friend is making me think that), and maybe Jasper. There are five books, so... I don't know. I'll probably look to see if I am right.

Elsie Silver's Chestnut Springs series has quickly become a favorite of mine, especially as a fan of spicy small-town cowboy romances.

In this novel, while I didn’t connect with Summer and Rhett as deeply as I did with Willa and Cade in the second book, their chemistry was undeniable. The banter between them added a lot of charm to their relationship, making their interactions enjoyable and engaging.

However, the angst in the conflict towards the end felt a bit overdone for my taste. It added tension, but at times it seemed more dramatic than necessary, which slightly detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the writing felt a little unpolished in places.

Despite these minor issues, the book was still a very enjoyable read. The charm of the small-town setting, combined with the passionate romance, made it easy to get lost in the story. 'm excited to continue reading and to see how the other characters' stories unfold in future books.

i quite enjoyed this book, i really liked summer and rhett, as well as our side cast. im definitely going to continue on with this series, im really excited to see how willa&cades story will play out, not to mention how winter is going to get redeemed
it was a very quick and easy read, and while i did know this book was going to be spicy, i didn't expect it to be this heavy handed. as in, almost every chapter had at least one sexual comment. i still liked the story, but that did give me quite the whiplash

all in all, this book was a fun ride and even tho it didnt quite live up to its hype for me, im still glad i read it. if you feel like flawless could be your cup of tea definitely do give it a shot!

I originally started this book in May, but as a mood reader I soft DNFd it because it wasn’t fitting my mood at that time. I ended up picking it back up for a July book club and I’m so glad I did because it was so good. The plot, the characters, the family dynamics, all of it was the perfect combination. It had me laughing at some parts and crying at others. One of the best books I’ve ever read and I cannot wait to see what happens with the rest of the series, but honestly don’t think it could get better than this one. If you’re a looking for a small town love story with family dynamics that will have you reaching for the Kleenex then I highly recommend adding this book to your TBR pile!
