I absolutely devoured this book in less than 2 hours, I really enjoyed it! I was looking for a short, sweet, smutty ;), read tonight and this book definitely delivered

Grumpy billionaire CEO, Jack, who’s been pinning for his assistant, Presley, since he first laid eyes on her, yes please. Said assistant not being able to stand grumpy CEO, yes please. Throw in fake dating and Christmas, again, yes please!

Presley is a no nonsense girl who’s not afraid to ask for what she wants, as she should, and Jack wants Presley, but is too scared of too many things to do anything about it until he ends up spending Christmas at her family home pretending to be her boyfriend (his idea) and pretending not to be her boss (her idea).

I really enjoyed this book Jack and Presley are so cute (when they’re not at each other’s throats, okay maybe then too), and Presley’s brothers are so funny, and LOLA love her, an icon 100%. I’m (not so) patiently waiting for Dylan’s book already.

I would give this book 3.5 stars, mainly just because with most other novellas I’ve read as well there’s generally some lacking of character development that would be nice to see. That being said I really enjoyed this book, can’t wait for more and am definitely gonna check out Ann Einerson’s other books!

The best introduction to what’s sure to be an amazing series if this book is anything to go by! I was about to start “If You Give a Single Dad a Nanny” when I read the introduction and the Author mentioned this book I immediately backtracked and started this one instead and holy moly was it worth going back! I love the fake dating trope and this book did it flawlessly. Also add a little meddling momma and overprotective older brothers with only one bed and LOTS of steamy spice and you’ve got yourself your next 5 star read!

This story was cute.

The absolute perfect holiday read!!! It’s short and sweet… and spicy too. I purposely took my time because I didn’t want it to be over!

I adored Jack, he was the perfect grumpy boss type. Presley was a relatable main character and her family was sweet. The holiday activities and Christmas cheer was realistic and not over the top.

Jack and Presley had a cute relationship and banter. I also appreciated that the third act breakup only lasted a few pages. I’m excited to read the other books in the series once they’re published!

Perfect mix of sweet and spicy for a novella. This story takes place in a mix between New York and Maine. The author made Maine seem like some magic dream place and I definitely need to go there. Lola honestly carried this story along with our FMC's brothers. This story was fast paced and interesting there is a minor 3rd act complication. Since this story was so fast pace since it was a novella, the reason our FMC got mad made sense our MMC is an idiot. While our MMC is an idiot and a jerk in the beginning, we see how he becomes a total sweetheart over time. Overall it's a good book and I cant wait to read the 1st book in the series.
Tropes:
Grumpy x Sunshine
Workplace romance
Age Gap (h:23/H:32)
Billionaire romance
One bed
Meddling moms
Small town romance

This would have been 5 stars had the author not used THAT word over and over to describe her lady parts. Sigh.

Cute, small town romance with a boss/ assistant trope!
