Definitely whets the appetite for more of Morgan and Alaric.
A quick read but still provides tons of information about Morgan and an idea of what is to come.
It's well written, no spice but it wouldn't have really fit with the story being told so it works.
Can't wait to see what antics Alaric gets up to next.

A fantastic little prequel novella by Liz Cain!

She set the scene for a longer journey for Morgan - a sheltered, naïve, Siren. Her mother has never explained her gifts to her, and we watch as she makes some decisions that set her life into a spin.

A few times I found the dialogue was lacking somewhat, but it wasn’t a huge deal at all, and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series when it comes out.

This novella is a great introduction to Morgan, who we meet in a modern setting but dive headfirst into her backstory - 1,000 years ago, when her sirens song is both a gift and a curse.

There is some questionable use of said gift which leads to a chain of events which set Morgan towards a fate she could not avoid if she tried.

Excellent prequel to what promises to be an awesome series, I'm really looking forward to what happens next in the paranormal world the author has created!
