Lot of storylines weren't resolved, no real closure. A very simple ending for a book that delved into a lot of tough topics in the middle and nearing the end of the book.

That being said, it was a fun, fast read, I found the characters loveable and the setting enticing.

Edited rating from 3.25 to 3.75. Actually, this was a gripping, funny, chaotic, lesbian tale and I enjoyed it a lot, I just wouldn’t put a lot of weight and expectations for the treatment and resolution of the serious and heavy topics in here. It’s just a book about two fucked up lesbians!

this was an interesting & entertaining read. i was giggling & the next moment on the edge of my seat or in shock. unrealistic in some ways but the hyperbole added to the humor.

Weird, wacky, gross, sad and FUNNY. This book made me laugh out loud numerous times and also say “what?!” Right after. Truly enjoyed the absurdity and how unhinged Greta was. Really fun read

super weird book.  I can't say I loved it, but once I settled in a bit (seriously, the first couple chapters were pretty off-putting), I was hooked.  overall, I had a good time.  a book for those who like supremely unlikeable characters who lie a lot.  I refuse to believe Jen Beagin was sober when coming up with the plot of the book (and that's okay!).

there was kind of a lot going on (because the characters were super messy people with multiple quirky layers to them), and it wasn't the most focused of books.  what was the point of the whole thing?  no clue.

I guess this is somewhat comparable to My Year of Rest and Relaxation (a book I despised), but done in a more interesting (and less gross for the sake of being gross) way.  lots of mental illness and childhood trauma.
