Yup. One star. Less if I could. I have a long history of finding Don Wood's illustrations creepy. Tried to give it a chance and just nope.

Truth be told I'm not sure if I've ever read the original Napping House book (and if I have I clearly remember nothing about it), but this was a lot of fun!

I nice companion to the original, but I still prefer the classic.

I like the idea, but there's something that was almost riotous about the drawings and it was quite overwhelming. The colors were calming, but the pictures had me more focused on all the movement, versus what I would expect from a relaxing bedtime story. But I liked the animals, as per usual.

As predicted, not nearly as good as the original. :(

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one that has a child that doesn't sleep during a full moon.
