This was the perfect holiday novella!!

After reading quite a few lengthy, heavy books- this was the perfect pick me up.

This best friends to lovers story had everything I love! Fake dating, longing, desire, amazing supporting characters, and steam!!!

My favorite novellas are holiday novellas and this one was exactly what I needed to kick off November.

This was a sweet, best friends to lovers, holiday romance. It was fast paced, easy to read, and mostly lighthearted.

Alex really had the worst luck in choosing boyfriends. Both Brian and Martin needed to be strongly put in their place. I liked the way Justin and Alex would come to each others rescue.

I felt badly for Justin feeling like he had no one but Grandma Lucy and Alex. I felt badly that Alex just seemed to have Justin.

I wished for a couple of things. The Grandma Lucy and Brian scene. More of Justin and Alex together together, and being greedy, I would have loved an epilogue.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I’m a sucker for best friends who fake date and end up having feelings for each other! Super cute short story! I want more though lol a bonus epilogue something!

Thank you Valentine PR and Nana Malone for the Arc!

Mistletoe Hearts was a fun quick read and a sweet friends to lovers romance. Alex and Justin first meet when he helps her out with her cheating ex. They form a friendship over the years and there is mutual pining. When she agrees to be his fake girlfriend for his grandmother sake the lines blur between friendship and more. I loved that these two were always there for each other no matter what. They were supportive of one another and had amazing chemistry. Pick this one up if you are looking for a sweet, low on angst, steamy holiday romance.

Loved it. I liked Jensen/Justin and Alex, they were so cute togheter. And pretty clueless about the others feelings. And I loved Grandma Lucy! She was a hoot.

I should really learn that most if not all novellas are not my thing and here's why...

Justin and Alex are so freaking cute! They are the epitome of sweet and swoon. I adore Alex being just quirky and owning it. My problem is, towards the end it felt rushed to get to the end. I feel that there is so much more here to explore and I was just left wanting more from them and from this book. It's why I gave it three. It felt like as I was really getting into it, it was over. This is something I've ran into often with novellas and I was hoping this one would be different but sadly it was not.

If you are looking for a semi-alpha type, friends-to-lovers, quick read this is for you! If you're looking for cute, sweet, and adorable holiday goodness, this is for you! If you are looking for your feels-sweet grandma with some sass moments, this is for you. It's all the things I love, it just felt rushed and that is where I'm having a sticking point with this book.

This standalone HEA story novella packs so much story and so much emotion into it that it feels like a much longer read. I was invested in this well-written, easy to read story right from the start and while I didn't want to like Justin so much, I just couldn't help myself. Justin and Alex were so great together and complemented each other wonderfully.
Very entertaining read.
