I think there were too many different things happening at the same time in certain parts of the book.

The way they wrap up the case after so much running around and so many people involved, felt a bit rushed and cheap.

All in all, it was an interesting read and the writing seemed to flow well, but maybe could have done with less clutter in certain parts, and maybe the ending done differently.

I'm a fan of this series. A different twist on the characters. I liked that they brought back some of the old characters from other books and they leave you wondering how the next book is going to go.

It was okay. It introduced a few characters from Decker's past - Terry, Chris (Justice) and their son Gabe. The plot(s) revolve(s) around a runaway wife fearing domestic violence, suspected to be killed by her husband, her abandoned son, a couple of suspicious deaths of young women and a couple of unsavory characters. Decker is celebrating his 60th birthday, Reena is older, all their kids have grown up. I liked this book mainly for its depiction of Dekker's family life than for its criminal plot.

I love this series. I love Chris and Terry and Gabe. I wasn't thrilled with Terry's actions in this book, but I think I understand them. I just heart Gabe in this. I felt so bad for him. The Deckers are awesome as usual. The mystery was definitely intriguing. I just...really adore this series, and was thrilled to read this book.

I liked how the plot developed into several threads, adding some complexity to the story. It all wrapped rather quickly at the end.

Love this series. I'm pretty sure this was a re-read but it was good the second time around.
