I'm so glad I ended up liking this one! I thought this book would bore me or I would DNF it, but I really liked it. Not gonna lie, this book was a little longer than it should have been and it did drag at some parts, but overall, I was invested and was wondering what was going to happen. I do wish that we learned more about that world and more about the long walk and more of its origins. But this was an interesting and I think this was one of Stephen King's better endings.

The best of the Bachman books, a riveting, harrowing, and - most frightening of all - very possible story.

Fantastic writing, a very well thought out story, and an ending that will leave you nearly in tears.

If I had a favourite books I read this year list this would be number 1, and it’s definitely one of my favourite books I’ve ever read now, and definitely my number one dystopian future book.

It was my first Stephen King novel, and definitely the first of many to come.
