Princess is fun, and I still enjoy magical portal stories.

The art is nice and fits the book.

Little silly absurdities like the Unicorn with a salmon instead of horn was entertaining.

Very cute story. I can see why my 8 year old cousin has read them multiple times

Entertaining early reader that uses children’s background knowledge of Goldilocks and the three bears to tell a story subverting gender norms and about female friendship. Kids also love the illustrations and graphic novel format.

My students LOVED this book. It took us two 15 minute read aloud sessions to finish. It is a quick read and my students finished it asking “can we get more of these?”

I wasn’t as sold on the story line and readability for a read aloud, but I did live the ridiculousness!

I was sold on this from page one, mostly because Princess Pink has a Darth Vader drawing on her wall. But also because this clever book will find its way into the hands of little girls obsessed with Princesses only to turn the story around on theme, with this adventurous girl who has no problem getting dressing up as a hairy caveman dinosaur hunter and splashing in cold chili.

I think kids will really enjoy the fractured fairy tales and the play on a story they are probably very familiar with.

Cute, funny, and perfect for kids who are ready to move from easy readers into very basic chapter books.

This is a fun book that would appeal to both boys and girls. It is very refreshing to see a main character who is diverse in color in a children's book. The main character Princess is a girl of color (she could be spanish, middle eastern, or mixed or light skinned African American) this is a new trend in publishing that is refreshing and been a long time coming. The story is whimsical and a great weird take on fairy tales.I'm sure this series is going to be a huge hit.Its a beginner chapter book geared toward kids in grades 1 -2. The second book in this series is due out in August 2014.

Basically, it's a quirky twist on Goldilocks and the 3 bears (as if you didn't catch that from the title...). A Highlight for me: The Tunacorn.

I found this to be a very interesting choice for the Monarch. It was a tad long I felt for the Monarch, but still enjoyable nonetheless. Filled with nonsense fairy tales and breaking the stereotypes this is a refreshing early chapter book.
