Enjoyed this one. The plot was twisty and complicated, and predicated on the life of the victim and it's twists and complications.

To be honest, I'm getting tired of every handsome stranger ending up being either a murderer or dead, just to push Posie and the inspector together. And I'm pretty sure Sergeant Rainbird was already married some 3 books ago, so how on earth is he dating Prudence now? I think the author lost interest in things she had set up earlier (like the fortune teller saying that Alaric and Posie will have kids together) and is just pushing her own agenda with very little regard to how the story would naturally flow. AND I haven't heard anything about Count De La Rosa in ages! What happened to him? He used to show up in every book completely uninvited.

What an absolute delight! I've loved the Posie Parker series from the start, but the latest installment is truly brilliant.

Interesting murder mystery set in 1930s in the style of Agatha Christie.  It cracks along at a good pace and has great male characters. Sadly the female characters are stereotypical, they gasp and are fearful and just want to be married and have babies.
The character of the protagonist, Posie Parker, falls flat for this reason,  she has a brilliant mind to solve cases but still widens her eyes and wrings her hands in anxiety, and sees all the men as potential husbands.

London 1924 lawyer Amyas Lyle's body is discovered at his office by head clerk George. DCI Richard Lovelace with the help of his assistant private investigator Posie Parker investigate. But who was Amyas Lyle, and why kill him now.
An enjoyable cozy mystery, though I did not really take to the character of Posie.

Lost interest as soon as the twin made his appearance. I wasn't feeling much interested or invested in the characters and the book, but wanted to know who killed the lawyer. But that twin thing really put me off the book. Also, too much of Posie's personal life has been coming into this series as it progresses.
