I started an endeavor to read this fanfiction of Rhysand's POV alongside listening to the accompanying graphic audiobook, and I can say the reason it's taken me over a year to get through them is definitively this half of the duo. It's Midnight Sun, but you didn't sign up for Edward. And I shouldn't be surprised because Maas love interests are notoriously bland (not you Cass baby), but listening to this supposedly over-powered badass male internally wax tortured poetic about this milquetoast protagonist with zero personality was making me tug my hair out. Incredibly jarring going between his tortured internal monologue and his cocky external image. I want it off my shelf and out of my face.
