Cal is still a whiny child who takes his pain out on his friends constantly. Stop being a brat. I'd DNF 5 pages in if this wasn't the last arc I have of the series (and the last of the series so far? It's all I see left on GR).
This series started as noir mystery where our detective fought monsters that no one believed existed. But at this point it has turned into supernatural monster of the week murders dozens of people and Cal whines and cries "oh woe is me" every other page. This series started so well, but this sucks.
