What a flop compared to the first book. Pacing was completely off throughout the entire book, even the final battle scene felt rushed and super anticlimactic considering we had ~400 pages of buildup… 

Ending made no sense to me and really took away from so much of the world building and narrative….

3.5 stars. Still is a stunning world and filled with beautiful imagery and storytelling. But felt very fast at the end, and the repetition of the love-triangle didn’t do it for me
