Ever hung out with a group of people that have their own in-jokes and you just feel on the outside? That’s what this book feels like. It makes reference to British folklore and myths without explaining them. The language was playful and aspects interesting but this book wasn’t written for the likes of me.

This novella is short but sweet. It plays with language and the notion of what exists in a very unique fashion. It took me a bit of time to get used to the language and style but I found it very enjoyable once I did.

The menace and nonsense and consequence of a solid dream. If The October Country were Cheshire.
