3.5 good enough stars. Was this the greatest fantasy book I’ve ever read? No. It was good enough that I finished it and didn’t hate it and was happy enough to keep reading. I enjoyed the plotline but parts of it felt under developed and too focused on the BDSM aspect. I did find them MUCH better written than 50 which is a massive plus in my book. I didn’t feel like Caiden was overly toxic but I was not a fan of him coercing information through a scene. Bryn was very one dimensional to me and was lacking character development. She was just bratty and that seemed to be her whole character. The ending was extremely abrupt. Like it all came down to the last 35 pages. I am interested enough in the story to continue and hopefully the brothers books are better!
