"You can't go around building a better world for people. Only people can build a better world for people. Otherwise it's just a cage."

This was very fairytale focused. It almost feels like a Disney work by Terry Pratchett. I love the witch characters—I’ve been reading the Discworld series in publication order, but this made me realize I’d like to read the sub-series (e.g., witches series) in order so I can see the through-line with the characters more.

This book was not my favorite. I prefer the ones that have sam vimes in it. However, this is a great fantasy tale about witches and godmothers who go on a journey to stop the girl from kissing the prince. Along the way, they come across many other interesting characters that one finds in stories, such as the big bad wolf, zombies, and even talking animals.

Terry pratchett is a great satirist but sometimes his stories go off on too much of a tangent. I often get lost in his off the wall dialogue and lose where the actual story is supposed to be headed.

This was my first Discworld book and it was a fun one. I didn't need to know anything about Discworld to read it. Loved the description of the cat when fighting, very accurate.
