I'll give it a four-star even though I thought parts of the beginning were meandering and unnecessary. Spencer's backstory was interesting enough, although .

I kinda roll my eyes at his wealthy connections. Why every character in romance novels gotta be wealthy? I guess it's wish-fulfillment to a certain extent

NR Walker never disappoints. that's it. that's the review.
i love them so much and i'm actually glad the story took 3 books, each dealing with different aspects of their relationship.
they are made for each other and i love them.

For me, this was the best book of the series. I finally felt an emotional connection between the two main characters.
The story had some personal elements for me. Throughout the series, I struggled to connect with Spencer because I can't imagine leaving my siblings behind. Spencer wasn't given many choices, but ... As an oldest sibling with really dreadful parents, I wanted him to fight back a little harder. This is a personal thing. I don't have patience for passive heroes. I don't think Spencer did anything wrong. My tiny little brain just can't comprehend nonviolence in this situation.
The conflicts are mostly resolved, but the series does have one more book. Maybe I will get my vengeance...

I'll start off by saying that I love Spencer and Andrew. The conclusion to their story was satisfying and happy, the amount of tears I shed notwithstanding.
That all being said, I still have a proverbial bee in my bonnet about the fact that this trilogy is one story divided into three books. And I really would have liked there to be more scene-setting overall in this "series". I felt that while the story was nice and I was often swept up in the goings-on, I struggled to have a clear picture in my mind of anything around them.

I always hesitated to read this because while I liked other books by N.R. Walker, they tended to be more on the okay side than great. However, I ended up listening to the audiobooks because I had been curious about the narrator, Joel Leslie, and they were cheap because of KU, so I figured it couldn't hurt. At first, I wasn't sure about either the book or the narrator, but Joel Leslie had me wrapped around his finger after about fifteen minutes, and the book grabbed me as well. Even though the story is divided into three parts, it really is one big story, and I really liked Andrew and Spencer's relationship and how they managed to maneuver past their issues. I especially liked this last part, and while there are things I could complain about in this case I won't because it really made me happy.
The culmination of all that came before. Spencer is having a hard time saying the words, even after Andrew tells him he loves him.
Spence ends up in hospital due to his shellfish allergy, prompting Andrew’s declaration. Right on the heels of this Spencer hears from his brother Lewis that their youngest brother, Archer, died by suicide.
Spencer and Andrew travel to see Lewis, and old wounds are healed, as Lewis acknowledges how wrong their parents are to have kicked him out and ruined Archer’s life as well.
Love the way Spencer blurts his feelings to Andrew, the way the brothers set up a foundation for struggling LGBT youth, and the proposal style at the end.

Loved, love, love this series
What a great way to end Spencer and Andrew's story, though I don't think I could ever get enough of them and their family!
