I found this as part of the Amazon Hush collection after enjoying Buried.
This story is very short so doesn’t have much room for character development. It was twisty and suspenseful and I really enjoyed it.

The Gift was my favorite story from the Hush collection.

I guess in this case Lyla thought she was protecting Fidelity from a life in the streets? Does it make her a mother or a despicable woman, separating a child from her real mother?It is a page turner, thrilling and for me, very unexpected.

Making my way through this short story series. I liked The Collective; it was a fun revenge read. This was a totally different vibe but enjoyable. Although yeetage of disbelief is required, there were a lot of ????? moments lol. Like how she was just homeless for a yr for funsies after being on a hit teen show. Or why she even walked away in the first place?? Confusion.

The short story by Alison Gaylin is part of the Hush-Collection and it was one of the strong ones. I especially liked the way the emotions and thoughts of the protagonists were portrayed.
There is a successful star that lives a great life with her husband and her daughter. Until her little baby goes missing.
