When I saw Ann Omasta was publishing a book about the craft of writing and becoming an independent author, I just HAD to check it out. Considering I've read some of her contemporary romances I was eager to know what she had to say.

The writing style was friendly, honest and full of camaraderie. It was like she was a good acquaintance or a friend telling me about what it was like and what did it take to become an indie author.

I've read a few books about the writing craft and I follow Chris Fox series so the information was not new to me but I found it very refreshing. Some of her advice was exactly what I needed to remember or to take into more careful consideration.

I believe this book will be a big help, especially to those new writers that want to publish a book in the romance genre. There are a lot of incredible books about the writing craft out there, but a book coming from a romance author? I think this is was a great idea.

Considering all that I've said, I would recommend this book to any new writer that wants to learn the basics of becoming an indie author. If you have read other books about the craft of writing, I still recommend this book because it's good as a reminder.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
