I feel like these two should do a podcast about relationships.

Not that I would listen to it, but reading conversations set out like this is just “meh” for me.

Plus I’m kind of in a funk about celebrity memoirs.

Just didn’t quite hit the notes I would have wanted.

I listened to this as an audiobook which I really enjoyed - it felt more like Nick and Megan were just talking to each other than reading a book.

My favorite parts:
1. They each got their big tv hit at the age of 38. When they met, Megan was 41 and Nick was 30. In both cases - they didn’t let age be a deterrent and they talked about how they are always learning and growing and changing.
2. Surprise wedding - they invited friends and family over for a little get together/housewarming the night before the Emmy’s and surprise! got married.
3. Their favorite couple thing to do is put together jigsaw puzzles while listening to audiobooks. Yes to this!

Not sure if you can really call them spoilers on a memoir but since they are my favorite parts - I’ll hide it just in case. :)

This was very funny to listen via Audible. It was cool to learn about how they met and some of the struggles they had as a couple. It is very relatable.

Overall a fun and funny book. There was one section where the audio version didn’t work for me, but it passed quickly enough.

2.5ish stars, maybe round up to 3. This book was way more boring than I expected it to be. Considering it’s called “The Greatest Love Story Ever Told,” there is no actual relationship advice or much of a deep dive into Megan and Nick’s relationship at all. Why would I care how often you and Nick listen to music while driving, or when you use your laptop vs your iPhone? It got super boring and I think I chuckled once.

There’s an entire chapter on religion even though neither of them are religious…Apparently they wanted to write about the hypocrisies of religion like no one has ever done that before. This whole book just “proves” my negative stereotype that celebrities, especially actors, think they are the most intellectual artistic beings on this planet. I thought it started off good, then essentially became a reiteration of Megan’s resume.
