The setting and the main character's narration were fun, but the characters and romance were extremely underdeveloped. They fell in love in like 5 days, and I just didn't see any bonding moments where they really got to know each other. I couldn't see what they loved about each other besides finding each other hot. Fallon was too possessive for my taste, and I didn't care for the dubcon.

Dear god, give me more. This is a cozy spicy adventure romance that is such a fun, fast read. I plowed my way through it, easily reading 100 pages in a sitting. It gave me the same feeling as playing a satisfying RPG.

The only negatives I have for the entire book are the use of the words dick, pussy, and cunt. I’m always taken out of the moment when the author can’t describe it any better than that. It was so well written however I found myself overlooking them, as I know that’s my personal preference.

A warning that this book is VERY spicy - think Carolina Reaper. So if you prefer mild spice or closed door, this isn’t the book for you.

If you enjoy d&d, adventures, found family, SPICE, and unlikely heroes that enjoy their wine this is the book. You won’t regret it.

I had so much fun reading this book. The adventure, the sex and the comedy. It was all so good, but there were a few awkward and/or cringy moments. I personally hate it when there is stuttering in a book. It takes me right out of it. I have suffered through my own many years of poorly written 2010s Wattpad fanfics (please understand this is not saying this is a Wattpad-level story, nor am I saying that Wattpad stories themselves are bad). I did find it to be a little vanilla and there could have been more sex scenes. This being said, sometimes you need to settle down with a cheesy, smutty book over the weekend.

okay so I accidentally finished this in 1ish sitting @.@ this would’ve been a phenomenal beach read, so i regret not saving it a little

this was… incredibly fun! it took me a few chapters to get used to the intentionally modern way of speaking, but then I was good. this is laugh out loud funny in a very Shrek way (if shrek had on-screen fucking). so much going on but things wrap up relatively nicely, and none of the plot threads take themselves too seriously. Lemming bites off exactly as much as she can chew

i was afraid the romance was gonna be red flaggy at first (or at least dark orange) bc yknow, demons. but it quickly showed itself to be something surprisingly responsible consent-wise for a book about getting your cakes smashed by a dragon demon. still a bit too much choking by a man you just met for me but that’s just preference lol. once yo was taking out her braids for her I was sold, the determined muff diving was the cherry on top. wonderful work

if this gets a film adaptation, I want to see Gabby Sidibe as Cinnamon. thnx

A bit too fluffy and cheesy for my liking but cute nonetheless. I don't love quick love stories. EXTRA CRINGE sex scenes. The faces I made 😆
I hate coersed affection and hesitation. Girl you either know or you don't. He doesn't have to plop you in his lap and kiss you for you to guess it's ok. Kinda eww. They didn't even know each other (at all) and he's like "I saw you, I wanted you, so now you're mine". And she's like " I don't want this but he washed my hair so now I'm swooning and can't breathe without him". In the span of like two chapters.  It was boring and typical for such a strongly depicted female lead. Who by the way is so oblivious sometimes I wonder how she did any of the heroic stuff depicted. It was overly unrealistic (7 foot, big dick demon sex aside) even for a fantasy. I don't think I'll continue the series as the writing is a bit too cliche and the jokes and humor were childish for being a spicy romance. Shock and awe for the sake of being "that kind of spicy book". Nothing really fit into place imo.

I will add I did really like Felix, so I MIGHT read book two to continue his story.
