It didn't pull me in like splintered, but by the end it left me wanting more. Can't wait for the third.

A.G. Howard does another amazing job at continuing the story of Alyssa Gardner and adapting the much-beloved Lewis Carroll stories of Alice in Wonderland. She brings the underlying darkness of the originals to life in a very mature and plausible way. She stays true to the Carroll stories but remains original in her stories. I am loving her series and devoured this one in a whole day.

This was a fantastic book! It was thrilling, it broke my heart, and gave me hope for the next book. I cannot wait for the next book! Man, that is how to draw a reader in! I can't speak highly enough about this book. It's such a creative and captivating series. Also, as far as the #TeamMorpheus #TeamJeb thing... Ummm, #TeamBoth??? I will definitely be hand selling the crap out of this book in the store. Wow, just wow.

Morpheus, you're the only thing worthy in these books. Those three stars are only for you.

Unhinged is definitely very different from splintered. The book as a whole is very emotional in a sense that it really focuses on Alyssa and Jeb's relationship and Alyssa's struggle between the human realm and wonderland. In addition, this book does not take place in wonderland at all. It's all in the human realm which I didn't particularly love. I love wonderland and would've liked to see more events take place.

I have this book three stars because it was good and well written with some good quotes. But there definitely was room for more and was not my favorite book so far in this series. But I liked how Alyssa's internal struggle between her netherling side and human side was portrayed. Although I feel that the love triangle outcome is quite obvious (but I could be wrong). I will say that the endings surprised me and in a pretty shocking/positive way.

To the people who liked the first book and want to continue the series, I would recommend unhinged. Just remember that it is the more emotional side to Alyssa's life.
