Because of all the conflicting viewpoints of the characters, I’m not quite sure what lessons this series is trying to teach young readers. It feels a bit like Gabilan is being added as a distraction from the main plot; his part seems unnecessary. I also continue to be confused by the complexity of the story.

Really engaging and quite dark. I really liked this one and im intrigued with the cliffhanger at the end.
