I found it really hard to get into this book; maybe it was one of the few Goosebumps books where the young target audience meant it just totally missed the mark for me. But it just felt deeply uninteresting to read about a game of tag for 100 pages.

Three kids have to win a game of tag or else they will be eaten.

This book is certainly weird, it really taps into the playfulness of the game.
I always prefer the more spookier storylines.  It’s not a bad concept, but it never feels creepy or even mildly scary, even with the game’s high stakes, so it felt a bit off-brand.
