Always a pleasure to revisit this one. I'm so grateful to have learned that the historical details aren't completely fabricated.

Shogun submerges you in 17th century Japanese culture.
Despite the constant violence, treachery, and politics, the main feeling this book gives you is a sense of tranquility.
1100+ pages yet I'm sad I finished it.

Listened to this on Audible. Narration by Ralph Lister was phenomenal. The story a masterpiece.

Should have been 500 pages shorter and had 10 fewer characters.
