Full of gorgeous photos and trivia tidbits. I just wish
a. The content matched the photos. Often the text talked about completley different things than the photos showed.
b. The Info Boxes were not there/better: Is it really necessary to list member of death eaters in the death eaters chapter?

This book is amazing! It is all about the costuming of the different characters in the movies, which is really interesting. There are tons of behind the scenes photos and tidbits as well as costume sketches and movie stills. I found it fascinating to learn about how the costumers did different things. For example:
When costume designer Judianna Makovsky was designing Hagrid's costume and came across a description of him wearing a moleskin coat. When she learned Rowling literally meant little moles, she "purchased fake fur and cut it into mole-shaped pieces in the normal and large sizes, with little feet and heads, and stitched them together to make the coat."
There are also lots of bits of different interviews that help you learn about the ideas behind a lot of the costumes. For instance:
As Ginny Weasley grew older and became interested in boys, her costume changed. "'Because she was raised with all these older brothers, she's never really been a 'girly' girl. But at the Christmas party in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, you can see she's growing up, becoming a young woman. And it's obvious that boys are seeing her in a different way, he's realizing his interest in her. So I think she's got to do something for him to recognize his new feelings.'"
I loved all the inside looks I got at the actors and the costume process. I also happened to be doing a Harry Potter marathon after reading the book, and it was interesting to see the different concepts behind the costumes that I had just read about on-screen. This is a must-read for all HP fans, whether or not you've seen the movies (although seeing the movies would make it a lot more relevant :)

Siskolla on tapana lainailla kirjastosta kaikkia mahdollisia Harry Potter aiheisia kirjoja niin aina välillä tulee itsekkin niitä lueskeltua. Tämä oli ihan kiva, ei mitään uutta ja erikoista tietoa mutta ihan mielenkiintoinen kirja Potter faneille.

Nečakala som síce, že to bude v podstate ''len'' o tom, ako sa na dané postavy tvorili kostýmy, prútiky a podobne, ale rozhodne to bolo fascinujúce, pretože nikdy predtým som sa nezamýšľala nad tým koľko toho museli vymyslieť ľudia, o ktorých potom ani nikto poriadne nepočuje.

Review - I love this series of behind the scenes books to the Harry Potter series. There are so many little tit-bits of information that you never even consider, and I absolutely love the drawings of the costumes and the way that the actors all had input into their characters and costume choices. The detail and attention that goes into everything about these movies is just absolutely amazing, and I love devouring every little scrap of information I can find! I think this is my favourite of the series just because the characters make the series so good, and the costumes and little tit-bits make everything make more sense to me.
