I expected the book to be pretty bad but it did exceed my expectations. It's not my usual genre, but for what it is I think it's okay. The ending was quite interesting but sad. I like the use of a cyclical structure with its double meaning, as well as the range of metaphors and language techniques.

Really easy to read and gripping but the plot twist was a bit of a let down imo

Idk man, this book is severely overhyped. I cry more over doctor's appointments and stubbed toes than I did over the "legendary plot twist" that this book holds. For a much, much better use of this trope I recommend 'Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone'.

That was very shocking. I did not expect the ending and am rather gobsmacked and left in state of stress.

The first part was a bit slow at times but I’m glad I read it and I think it would be really interesting to go back and spot all the clues. Some of the writing is kind of open to interpretation of what it means - very metaphorical. Scarring read. At points quite hard to read.
