I may be biased in my review because I’ve only seen the show and they’re my favorite couple that I’ve been waiting to develop so when they announced this would be season 3 I knew I had to skip books 1-3 to read this 😂
I really enjoyed the book except for jealous Colin. (Also Portia and Cressida are lucky they’re fictional because they would’ve caught my hands on sight 😒) The jealousy was just frustrating to read and felt repetitive since it was the same arguments, but I liked how they were honest and eventually talked it out better. The only reason this book gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because the spicy scenes could’ve been ✨spicier✨ for my tastes.
(I may edit this review later depending how I feel whenever I get around to reading books 1-3)

From the whole series ( I didn’t read the last two books) Penelopes and Collins story is the best. I love the way Collin adores her

I wanted to like this so bad but I just couldn't. When a rich, white, very privileged man complains about how he feels like he has no purpose to a woman who has essentially no rights or independence compared to him, and he does absolutely nothing to change his circumstances, the book is immediately trash. There is no way I could ever feel sorry, or connect with that character, it's just bananas.
