Ooh I liked this one! Following Turtle, who has an unexpectedly traumatic past.

What does it mean to understand life through the lens of narrative tropes? Who will you be?

Low self confidence, shaped by thoughtless parental unkindness, coupled with perpetual anxiety from secret-keeping.

Plus, most of Turtle’s issues are resolved separate to the unfolding plot.

Not to mention recurring questions of good, evil, morality and soul damage that emerge from the use of Animus powers.

With a sidebar for considering both what enchantments are “worth it”, and how “worthless” and/or “trivial” enchantments can be repurposed.

All of which is  to say: there’s a lot going on here! After all, I haven’t even mentioned Anemone, nor Darkstalker. Both of whom play significant plot roles!

Bug discussion questions:
DO using your animus powers turn you evil?
Casting on objects vs dragons?
How does Turtle use his knowledge of stories to help him? What limitations does this have?
How would you word a soul-protecting spell?
What is Darkstalker’s plan?
How does Darkstalker really feel about Moon? Is Moon enchanted?
