It's not interesting to me anymore, and the start of the last chapter I read it's confusing. I can't bother to try to understand it.

3.5/5 stars. I can see why I read this book over and over in middle school and early high school. Even though it is a vampire book, it is really a book about a teen girl dealing with loss and grief. As a young teen I dealt with a lot of death and while rereading it was easy to see how relatable this book would have been.

I never read this or Blood and Chocolate when I was younger and I really regret missing out on that! I can absolutely see why this book was formative for so many people.

This was an okay read. I really liked Simon and the depth to which Klause exposed him in many facets. What lacked for me was Zoe's character. She just didn't jump off the page and exude the angst, turmoil, and depth of character that was Simon. An entertaining read nonetheless.

I wrote a comparison of The Silver Kiss and [b:Twilight|41865|Twilight (Twilight, #1)|Stephenie Meyer|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1307515757s/41865.jpg|3212258] that will post at erinoriordan.blogspot.com on Feb. 18, 2012.

I liked this book more than I liked Blood & Chocolate. The story was fast paced, but you never really felt like it was missing anything. It definitely could have had more, but it was a nice fast read. The end was heartbreaking in a sort of Tuck Everlasting way.

I sure know how to pick them!
I don't usually cry but today I am a huge crying mess. :( My head hurts, my eyes are swollen and my face is red. I feel awful! :S
But whatever, it was worth it!
This book is just amazing and so different from the vampire books we used to read.
I really loved Simon. I feel like I could see into his tortured soul and found there something really beautiful, in spite of his own beliefs.
I wish he had a happy ending but I agree with him. I wouldn't want to be immortal. I would be so terribly unhappy because I wouldn't be able to enjoy everything and live to the fullest. Without change, there is no joy.
I really loved the fact that Zoe and Simon were kindred spirits joined by death. They were both so lonely until they found each other. *Sigh*
I'm glad Simon could see that he was wanted before the end...

2.5 rounded up to 3. A good story and more enjoyable than Twilight, but it is a short book and seems rushed.
