So much fun, real anticlimactic ending.

Thoroughly explores the idea of how open relationships can function in a healthy way. Ish. Also a great portrayal of how damaging and devastating the wrong partner can be. Helen’s story was one I was curious about since her introduction in the second book of this series.  This book definitely brought me back into the series after the second book was a slight letdown.

This would have been better as a YA book - the sex scenes were the cringiest part especially for a romance book! The world doesn’t make sense - fighting to the death is ok but a throuple is taboo? It’s supposed to be a happy ending even though they stay in the closet. Didn’t work for me. The palace intrigue was the best part and that wasn’t even that good.

Oh my goodness i'm pretty sure this is my favourite of the series so far! This series if a fun take on Greek Gods and mythology.

The plot alone was intriguing and had me hooked; Helen, Achilles and Patroclus are all in the competition to become the next Ares. Then you add in the romance and I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between these three is fantastic and so hot. I loved Helen, she's strong, independent, and not willing to be someone's prize.

The narration by Alex Moorcock & Zara Hampton-Brown was perfection. Their voices compliment each other so well and they both deliver great performances.
