This book was everything I wanted from the series and more! Our protagonist's both got significant character development and we learned so much about our Beck! This book tied up so many plot points but left the door open to explore the series further. I remember being disappointed that this was the final book when I first read this series as I didn't want it to end but now there are 3 more and I can't wait to dive into those. This book explores Beck's past and shows us why he pushes people away. Beck is such a well written character, he is troubled and haunted by his past and finds it hard to trust and love and for good reason. I loved how the first half of this book explored metaphorical demons from Beck's past and having Riley learn more about Beck and still accept him. The second half of this story focused on Riley's actual demons and showed Beck step up and accept them and help Riley face them as apposed to pushing her away as he had in the past. Riley is a strong female lead character who has grown so much over the original four books, she has matured and learnt from her mistakes. Side characters also proved to have significant character development, in particular Simon. Simon has gone from a likeable little Catholic boy, to irritating and close to becoming a villan to becoming a relatable young man who is in search of forgiveness and answers. This series has a strong well written plot that has highs and lows and is full of emotion. It is clear in this book just how much the author cares for her character's, even troubled Simon, and as the series went on she matured Riley in subtle ways to shape her into the young woman she is in Foretold.

The end is most definitely nigh ...

Riley Blackthorne has always known that fellow Demon Trapper Denver Beck had a chequered history, but she's not prepared for what it means to be in love with a guy with this many dark secrets. Now that he's finally admitted to himself that he's in love with her too, there's no more hiding the truth about his past. And as it turns out, fending off a demon apocalypse is nothing compared with what's to come ...

Ori begynder at træne hende i at slå dæmoner ihjel.

... He pushed a lock of hair behind her ear, his gaze remarkably render.
"I want nothin' more than to scoop you up in my arms, and carry you to my bed."
"And then ..." she whispered, her heart beating faster now.
What would it be like to feel his kin against hers?
"Then I'd show you what it means to be loved by a Southern boy."
His face filled with a sultry grin. "
It wouldn't be quick. No, it'd probably take all night."
For a second, Riley forgot how to breathe.
"So if yer sayin' that's what you want -" he began.
She cut off his final words with a kiss,
one nearly as possessive and need as the one she'd given him at the bus station. ...

Whaaoow!!!

Love it! Læs den!

Was a fourth book really necessary...? I'm not sure this brought a lot to proceedings and I'm not enough of a Riley and Beck fan to enjoy the time basking in their presence.

After sitting through one-average and two-more-than-average stories about Riley and Beck and their angsty teenage-problems and oh-lord-we-are-not-good-for-each-other-shit, they finally, FINALLY ended up together.

Man, i forgot how it felt to be emotionally invested in the characters of a book.

Thank you, Jana.

These books are by no means any masterpieces of excellent world-creating or any deep, complex characters, but what it lacks in literate skills, it makes up for in chemistry and fluff.

Yes, i said it.

This book was like reading a fanfiction, without the cheesy writing and the annoying self-insert OC.

These books fulfill all my adolescent dreams and hopes. I eat this series up like raw cookie dough. I'm more than averagely excited for the next one.

This book, for me, was what the final book in the Strange Angels series by Lily St. Crow should have been but failed to be.

Awesome. I liked the changes and growth and most of all loved learning about our Backwoods Boy.

This whole series has been entertaining, but this last book just seemed a little unnecessary to me. It was still a good ending some unrealistic aspects.
