This one made me cry but I grew to be so attached to all the characters and I wish I could read this and Six of Crows for the first time again. GO READ IT!

This book is easy to get lost in. It has the classic found family trope, but the plot twists are so well structured and planned that it keeps you on your toes the entire story.
Matthias’ death was crushing, but does this promise to change drüskelle ways mean another book for Nina? Or another book for Inej and Kaz finally taking down slavers and swindlers? And how incredible to see the fearless couple develop so thoughtfully, carefully…the ending with Inej threatening Pekka and Kaz finding her parents reminded me that these two always find small ways to show love, even if the other doesn’t know it.
The overarching narrative of struggle and sins was artfully done. The investigating quotation is: How does one forgive after such acts? A good takeaway message with thrills and adventures.

Warning: Spoilers Below.
I really want to do this a spoiler free review, but I have so much to say and I’m pretty sure nobody reads my reviews anyways lmao.

This book was an emotional roller coaster. I literally thew this book across the room.

Anyways I was very hesitant to pick this book up because I knew Matthais was gonna die. I knew he was gonna die, but I spent five minutes absolutely balling my eyes out because of it. I think that he really grew from the last book and I was so sad to see him go. But, I am SO glad that I picked this book up because it was everything I have ever wanted and more.

In my last review I asked for more romance with each of the ships, and it was definitely received. I feel that every ship and character should have their own books because that’s how much I loved them.

I definitely enjoyed this more than the first book which was absolutely surprising but these two books have found a place in my heart.

I need a third six of crows book right now.
