No one who recommended Six of Crows told me it was a duology and I got so scared when it ended and then so happy when Megan told me about this one.
I want a third book!

I’m heartbroken and shook. Leigh has done it again. I really hope there’s a third book. Matthais, you have my heart. The narrators were once again impeccable.

This was a great book. A follow up to [book:Six of Crows|23437156] could have fallen flat, but the six characters that I fell in love with in the first book stayed true to themselves. The reason why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of the 5 I gave to the first book...although it did carry a certain amount of stress and heists (about halfway through the book I had to brace myself to get through some of the more stressful parts), I didn't like this book quiteas much as the first book.
But really, it's still very, very good. I would have read it much faster if I hadn't been traveling. I had been looking forward to the book pretty much since I put the first one down and it certainly lived up mostly to expectations. In this novel, Ketterdam stayed as a character so we got to see people where they were most comfortable (but not safe!)

Oh my actual god and all the Saints.
Why has it taken me so long to start this series?!?! And where do I learn how to write like Ms Bardugo because I have serious writer envy!
I don’t think there is a single character (except for Van Eck) that I don’t love with my whole heart. I mean, a special shout out to my new husband Kaz and my angel Nina, but all of these characters are just so well written and I love them all!
Although, Ms Bardugo has got some explaining to do if she thinks she can just end it like that! My poor Nina :(
I saw a review earlier that said Leigh Bardugo must have serious back pain from carrying the entire YA fantasy genre and I have to say I agree wholeheartedly. This woman is a Queen and I am so excited to move on to her other books!
