Those end of the book bylines are always shocking

I hate how Rosalind seems to vacillate between weak and strong. It's awesome seeing her grow stronger mentally and be more sure of herself but the ending of the book definitely has me worried - and not just the last line. I wish I'd found this series in timeline order! I'd like to see Rosalind be in control of herself and not be dragged around from situation to situation. I worry there can't be a happy ending.

Witch Hunter is book 2 in C.N. Crawfords The Vampires Mage series.

Wow, this series just doesn't hold anything back. We are thrown, once again, into a fast paced, thrilling journey with Rosalind and Caine as they search for Miranda and Tammi who have gone missing or into hiding and the journey is fraught with danger, deceit and twists at every turn.

The banter between Caine and Rosalind is still wonderful and the underlying tension is still there but they make a great team.

I still love Rosalind's character as she becomes more confident with her new powers. She's still a strong, take no s*** kind of woman who seeks forgiveness rather then permission.

This was a great follow up story that still left me reeling and chomping at the bit for book 3.

I was gifted a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I received this book for review. This is the second book about Rosalind and Caine . The story starts where magic hunter leaves off. They are still in search of Miranda her twin sister and best friend Tammi. We get to know more about past events that bring the story together. I loved this book and I can not wait to read the next installment.

Meh

It was ok, I don't know what it's missing or maybe it's just how long it's taking to find out what's so special about her

DNF
The 'heroine' of this series just straight up does my head in. She is an utter idiot. I'm abandoning the book at the point that she's pouring her life story out to a complete stranger, despite knowing that she ~knows nothing~ about her background, and knowing that she's being hunted by her former employers. This is far from the first utterly stupid thing she's done, and quite frankly I can't be bothered to find out what sort of hell she's about to cause for herself, or how she's going to rely on Caine to save her yet again despite her treating him like dirt on her shoe.
I have generally loved everything I've read by C.N. Crawford, but after a book and a half in this series, I know it's not for me.
