Really liked the book but couldn’t believe it ended on a cliffhanger with no warning.

The way trigger warnings were represented was also not great.

This got a three because it ended without resolving anything and acted like that was normal. If it had said something like "volume one" it would've been better. Still not okay, but more understandable.

Loved this book. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and get to know the character even better. The plot and smut were both delicious

I loved this book. I read it because of a review I saw online. Soooooo glad I did. The only bummer is that the sequel is still 2 months away.

I loved all the characters. I love the relationship between all three. I’m not a fan of any storyline with kids involved but this is an exception. I love that the characters are all older (30’s) and act their age. No unnecessary drama or childish behavior. No repetitive words/phrases in the writing. I really have no criticism for this book at all.

The book starts a few years in the past just as Cora is coming off a divorce (be sure you read the trigger warnings for the reason). I struggled with this first section for readability. However, as soon as the book resumed in the present, it was incredibly enjoyable. The intimate scenes are spicy and full of kink. There are so few authors who get the BDSM world right and Sloan does.
Overall it was a great read with the exception of the first 20-40 pages.
