This should have been done at the end of this book. There is no need for another nd honestly, despite the plot and spice being pretty good, I don’t think I can keep reading.

I was here for the spice but it got a little emotional toward the end

i did love this book - getting to read about the spice but also getting the emotional side of things and understanding they aren't a perfect couple or people. plus getting to experience the beginning of their relationship was so sweet.

This is one of my all-time favorite why-choose romances. I love the dynamic between these three. I also like that it's not your typical ex-military and ex-husband trope. I feel like typically the FMC is kidnapped by the ex-husband and the ex-military main character has to rescue her. I LOVE that that isn't the case here. I like that Marco, the dom, shows his sensitive side in multiple ways from his PTSD to taking care of Jay and Cora. I love how inclusive this book is as well, from different cultures, backgrounds, gender/identity, sexuality and much more! I also appreciate the FMC being heavier set and it not being her hole identity in the book. Overall, there are tons of things done perfectly in this book... I HATE that it ended on a cliffhanger and I'm impatient. Also... The SPICE in this book is top fucking tier.

I really wish that the book blurb had stated this was the first book of a duet. The ending was jarring and hard to read since I was unprepared for it.

The book itself was fabulous, if very insta-love, I just wish it had been presented differently.

The sex is incredibly hot and while the BDSM themes aren’t entirely realistic I appreciated the discussions about limits, consent, and negotiations.

Authors note was gross, basically "trigger warnings are spoilers, you can read them but it will spoil the plot." The trigger warnings are VERY prominent in the plot.
