Love this more than book one. What can I say, zoey draven alien books is something else. I love the little angst as well and he certainly grovel. While the fmc is innocent and sweet she didn’t give it to him that easily. Yass gurl

an amazing book 2

Can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading in order to understand previous mentionings.

This one was more plot and less smut and it was fantastic

LET'S FUCKING GOOOO I think I liked this one even better than the first.

First of all, the book never explicitly says it, but it's obvious that FMC is neurodivergent. She's kind but blunt, never beats around the bush, lacks certain social cues while being poignantly aware of other people's motivations, and she's never afraid to call anyone out on their bullshit. Love her with my whole heart.

The MMC? Was sort of a dick throughout different parts of the book, but he's blond and I have a spot for them so I'll give him a pass. Basically he's a nontraditional Horde King, not belonging to one of the ancient families and instead having been raised on the streets. He's a little insecure about this and lets his council tell him that he DEFINITELY CANNOT marry the human girl he's highkey obsessed with, but it's fine. Our FMC puts him in his place constantly and he's a huge simp for her.

Love them both. 10/10 recommend. Forbidden love, he-fell-first-and-definitely-harder trope, friends to lovers vibes—literally what else could you need? Nothing. That's the answer.
