Disjointed space opera that works better in the context of the Infinity event.

Don't buy this collection or Hickman's [b:New Avengers, Volume 2: Infinity|18483923|New Avengers, Volume 2 Infinity|Jonathan Hickman|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1409500319l/18483923._SY75_.jpg|26161832]. They're super unsatisfying ways to read this event. It's like buying a book and only getting either the odd or even chapters. Sure, you sort of kind of a little bit get the overall story, but it will appear that everybody dies at the end of chapter three, and there's no chapter four, and in chapter five, it's like that dramatic cliffhanger ending never happened.

It's a terrible way to collect this event.

Instead just get [b:Infinity|18513586|Infinity|Jonathan Hickman|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1527103514l/18513586._SY75_.jpg|26644776] and read the entire story. I'm going to hold off on my read through until I get this volume, so I can actually, hopefully, enjoy this story.

I don't recommend this version of the story. Make the investment, get the complete book.

Stupid and kind of boring. It should have been sweeping high level adventure. But it wasn't even a swing and a miss. There were no worthwhile character moments. There was no real story. There was barely a plot. It should have been at least less bad.

Dear Jonathan Hickman,

I have figured you out. You can no longer hide the fact from me that you are a cold, soulless robot writing from a satellite station above Earth. I'm sure it must be hard to write dialogue without any one else to talk to all day. However, you must stop. I resent that you have some how implanted an imperative in my brain to read all your work no matter how much I dislike each and every one of them. I have no idea why you have so many fans except perhaps, there may be many more cyborgs out there than I had previously accounted for here on Earth. You are great with graphic design. Please return to this.

Thank you,
Chad Jacobson

p.s. Lenil Yu, you have no business encouraging him.

A bit hard to read since it's really a bunch of ancillary tie-ins to a larger event mini-series (which, admittedly, I have yet to read), so you never really get the full story, but its Jonathan Hickman and Leinil Francis Yu, so it still reads and looks better than most other superhero comics out there, so there's that. The fact that there's no pay-off for the final issue in this collection, though (it presumably leads into the last issue of the Infinity mini-series) is frustrating, though.

So this was apparently part of yet another goddamned crossover event. Only part of the story is here, and more seems to happen in the single-page “Previously” bits than in the entire rest of the book. Lame.

Also, in the Marvel universe “infinity” implies Thanos. He ain’t here. What’s up with that bullshit? At least what story there is has marginally more coherence than the usual Hickman stuff.

So I guess I have to go find the big event collection or something. And they wonder why sales suck. This nonsense is why.

No me ha interesado mucho el cómic, me gusta el dibujo pero la historia no demasiado. Lo he terminado porque pues no sé, puede que el siguiente sea mejor según dejan este.

This one was epic and focuses on Avengers as they go to cosmos and focuses on them fighting the Builder war. The issues focus on the discord between Galactic council and then Avengers teaming to destroy the Builders and there are character moments which stand out like the one with Thor or focusing on Captain Marvel and her resolve or showing why Captain America is the best leader and strategist when he is able to stand shoulder to shoulder with cosmic heroes and leads them to victory and the final issues tying into them going to Earth for one final war!

This was a great one and just continued to build on Hickmans run and show why they are the earths mightiest and how every world became Avengers world and showed their resolve not to give up ever even in the face of total collapse. The art was great and just shows the range of artists who worked on this though the facial expressions were somewhere odd and the writing would have been tough to follow if one was not reading the main Infinity event.
