One of Vonnegut's more thinly veiled allegories, sprinkled heavily with actual contemporary and historical figures and events. The humor is dialed up, and the depths of the doom are deep. I found so many threads that were entertaining, insightful, relatable, and rich with meaning. This has aged very well, and I'm glad I got to it!

I am not a contrarian but sometimes I do have quite divergent opinions, and I think this is one of those times. I love this book. So far, I think it and Breakfast of Champions are my favorite of his novels. Love love love it!

A panoramic interrogation of individual identity and agency, or the lack thereof, within 20th century American capitalism. The understated sci-fi touches are perfectly placed.
