This was an unexpected book. It was beautifully written. The style of writing and set up the story was something I had never seen before. It followed an object and described the interactions of the people, but the object linked them all together. The theme of music and wind was lovely. I was very engrossed in the book. I did have one big complaint. Under the chapter titles it would tell you a time frame and a name of the person the chapter was following. For about half the book the time frame was March 1945. Weeks and months passed in the story, but each chapter would say March 1945. It was distracting and a bit frustrating as the characters experienced things and I couldn't tell how long it took to get from one situation to another. I would definitely recommend this book, though.

I really enjoyed this book. I have been a fan of Rachelle Christensen's books in the past, so was very excited for this new one. I thought it was a little slow to begin with, but it really picked up and became a book that I had a hard time putting down. I loved the part the music box played in the whole story and how the main story had several side stories going on as well with the different people affected and touched by the music box. I was touched by the sweet love story and I love the way the book ended and all the loose ends were tied together so perfectly! This book also provided some interesting discussion for my husband and I as we discussed the premise of the book! I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good, clean romance that might make you shed a tear or two at the end! I received a review copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Loved this Kindle First winner! This book was very well written. The story was hard to put down and very compelling. The main characters were enjoyable! It was hard to know who should end up with who. There were so many twists and turns with heartache and inspiration. The story follows a music box that is first given to a wife by a soldier before leaving for WWII. As the music box is passed from person to person, we see how each life is transformed from the quotes shared in the box. Excited to read the follow up story Carve Me A Melody.

This book was so incredibly beautiful and heartbreaking, the sorrows and joys that the characters went through, my goodness. Very inspiring and I love how it came full circle in the end.

Such a sweet story about love and loss and making choices. A music box touches the lives of several people, all intertwined in ways. This is the type of story you want to read under a warm blanket in front of a fireplace. It touches your soul with hope and love.
