OKAY SO...
The continuation of the Goddess of Thunder story was awesome! I loved every page of it! I just wish there had been MORE (hence the 3 star rating). I have SO MANY QUESTIONS since finding out who the thunder goddess truly is. There was some insane suspense leading up to the reveal, and while I had a hunch who it was, it was still very exciting. Lots of humorous moments too!

I loved Odinson trying to play detective and figure out who the thunder goddess was. His character in general was very likeable and not as abrasive as he was in the first volume. I also loved seeing some other lady superheroines join in for one portion of the story.

To my understanding, the reason why there's only 3 issues of the Goddess of Thunder storyline in this volume is because of the Secret Wars storyline that picks up where it leaves off. Then, Thor as she's seen in this volume returns for The Mighty Thor series. It's a bit confusing, but I'm excited to read on in this series.

The volume includes some bonus stories from the Thor annual. I really liked the story with Thor being tested by the warriors three. The story about the future Thor was also really beautiful. I just wasn't that big of a fan on the Young Thor story.

There's also a reprint of a classic "What If" story (from the 70s) that I really enjoyed. It was super cheesy, but so fun (though the ending was kind of weird, but I chalk that up to it being from the 70s).

So while I definitely can say READ THIS VOLUME, just be aware that it's not a full volume of the Goddess of Thunder storyline. Still worth reading and owning - just try to get it on sale.

The story about Thor and her identity is great, but I disliked the extra stories, might have been better if they kept that out of this volume and focused on the main story.

Everything but the identity of Thor: 4.5 stars
Identity of Thor: 1 star

I ended up in bed late last night, unable to sleep, just thinking about all the different ways that it wouldnt actually work for that person to be Thor.

Enjoyed the big reveal and the continuation of the new badass feminist Thor. Eagerly awaiting the end of Secret Wars and continuation of all these great comics. Thought all three annuals were fun, and the 1978 comic in the back a funny inclusion.
