What I liked about this is it continues the feeling that I got from The Last Jedi. It left me thinking the idea that "not everyone's a hero" and "not every hero is from a famous family". Of course ROS shattered that but Force Collector keeps it on life support with Karr. My gripe with this novel is Karr feels a lot like a Forrest Gump. He just happens to encounter important people and places by chance? Or maybe the force I suppose, and maybe that's the point. Overall though it was an enjoyable story and I wouldn't mind seeing Karr again in the future should some post sequel content be created. Perhaps as a Jocasta Nu type scholar of a New Jedi Order.

This was a great book. If you're mainly a fan of Star Wars because of the action, then this probably isn't the book for you. It's a really nice historical overview however.

I loved the character of Karr. It was fascinating to see him come to terms with his own connection to the Force and his Force abilities, particularly during a time period where there was so much uncertainty pertaining to the Jedi themselves, their history, and what they stood for. His relationship with his grandmother was really well written, and I love how we see her guide Karr on his path in her own way. Similarly, I loved the relationship with his new friend Maize, though I think my favorite character outside of Karr and his grandmother must be Karr's droid.

If you like learning more about the Force, the history and the politics of the time (but remember, it's still a book for younger readers), I think you will enjoy this.

This short novel has everything I really like in a Star Wars’ novel: not only you get to have glimpse of the Skywalker’s saga through Karr’s eyes, but you also have an beautiful story about the importance of History. History and memory are not the same, and I truly enjoy the way the character of Karr is questioning his own identity by the prism of his powers. The Force gives him the power to read the past, but does that make him part of the History? Would his memory serve the greater Good and help him to spread the truth about the Jedi? Wow that’s really interesting to read!

It’s a really good book, with an adventurous flavor and everyone who enjoyed the movie would love this one.

Quick read, could have been better. It was a bit like watching a Star Wars trailer at times. Always felt a little predictable and cheesy but it's fine. I liked the ending :)

What a lovely little trip down memory lane! When I read the summary I honestly did not expect to like it as much as I did.

It was so much fun joining Karr on his adventure exploring the Star Wars universe and learning about the Skywalker legacy.

When I think of it it might actually be a nice introduction to anyone who hasn't seen or read Star Wars.

4.5 stars and another 0.5 for the ending.
