This was insane. First of all, I think this is an important book. It explores themes of animal vs human in ways I've never seen before. I hated the main character so much, but still couldn't put this down, especially in the second half. Bazterrica is genius and the premise of the story is only slightly outlandish that it still possibly come true...

I'm horrified and disgusted by this novel and sincerely applaud the author.

A deeply chilling read that reflects the deepest pits of humanity. Not for the faint of heart, or weak stomached. Deeply detailed, and visceral start to finish. A good start to graphic and dark horror.

If there’s any book that would make me go vegan, it’s this one.

It’s hard to explain, but this is one of the “filthiest” books I’ve read. It feels like it just stinks, and everything is covered in gore.

I absolutely loved the world building, and the plot itself was about as dark as it can get. I believe I understand the authors intentions in not telling us too much, but I feel like they could have gone further in depth surrounding the general events that led to the world as it is when the story takes place.
