If given the opportunity, read this after Vicious Devotion. Yes, it technically comes before it but I like knowing more about the characters involved.

I had to read this book twice because the first time around my mood was just not having it. I waited to get out of my reading slump and then tried again. And thank goodness I did, quite enjoyed it this time and I'm beyond ready for the full-length. I have questions and I'm just eager to know what's going to happen! Caphiera is being pulled in so many different directions, but something pulls on her stronger than her inner turmoil.

This novella is the ultimate hate f*ck/enemies-to-lovers. And Aveda truly writes it all extremely well.

Like I am after every novella I've read by Aveda, soooo eager for more!

Lots of trigger warnings with this that you can check out on Aveda's website. https://www.avedavice.com/bound

First off let me say that there is a link and a QR code to scan to take you to the TW/CW in the book before you begin reading so adhere to that…thank you!

Next, I want to start every Aveda Vice review with “AVEDA MF’ING VICE!!” If monsters, supes, inter-species copulation is not your thing - this is not your book. If you can’t handle a little, well a lot of humiliation and degradation, again - not your book! I will tell you that Aveda weaves a tale of a lost Harpy, Capheria who still wants to fight even when her pack has been scattered to the winds. She’s angry, bitter, a little broken, and looking for vengeance. Her penance is to marry the Alpha of the Timbers, and she is not having that. Her escorts Caius and Aren whom she’s faced in battle many times are not very gentle in their journey. Her rage and pent up adrenaline turns into the need to expel that extraness within, and the two weres can smell it! What’s your safe word little bird?

“How can someone so violent, so wicked understand anything but sheer brutality? But he’s putting every tell in her body on display while he decimates her.”

Color me READY for the full book because in this intro Novella Aveda knocks me off kilter and I know what to expect, but daaaammmmnnnn!!!!

I've been reading a lot of smut books but this one has got to be the filthiest monster hate-fucking book I've ever picked up and I absolutely loved it!!

All I want for Halloween is to be fucked by Caius

This was just okay. Will keep an eye out for the full length novel following these characters though!

"Why would I want to fuck you? I hate you."
Move over enemies-to-lovers, here comes the superior trope - enemies-AND-lovers. Pheir has every reason to want to kill Aren and Caius, the most immediate one being that they're Pheir's prison guards, hauling her from one cell to another, away from her family, her pack. And the hate-fuck fest that is this novella is a breath of fresh air.
Monsterfuking at its finest. And it's a kinky monsterfucking at that. There's a lot going on but the CNC and degradation are the main ones.
The story is a prequel, so it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, preparing the readers for the upcoming full-length sorry of Pheir, Aren, and Caius.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
