3.5 stars rounded up. I enjoyed this book but I felt like the ending was a bit rushed. This series could have easily been a trilogy rather than a duology. There were so many questions left unanswered. Like why doesn’t Brie have a familiar? Or why did she never even ask about them? Why was it so easy to kill the golden queen? Did the book tie into her being alive and her death?

Overall, this felt like a wanna be ACOTAR but not nearly as well written.
