If you had made me review this after the first 10 pages, I would have given it 4 stars. It seemed to have lots of promise. As I read further, I kept the sense that it was a sweet fable, but unfortunately, none of the somewhat-separate vignettes related to each of the charms on Arthur's wife's charm bracelet, had any depth. Just as they started, they were over. Missed opportunities.

I was happily surprised how much I enjoyed this story. It seemed a little slow at the beginning but i quickly wondered what the man would learn next about his wife. I felt like I was on this journey with him and loved all the life lessons.

This book was a cross between A man called Ove and The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry.

A bit boring, but a sweet little story. Light and lovely.
