Pros:
This book reads very much like a Hallmark Christmas movie. It is described very visually and covers a short holiday period with a ton going on. Perfect for those looking for small town neighborhood charm with minimal characters.
Cons:
Sadly, like a Hallmark movie it feels as though the author doesn’t trust the reader to understand the importance of the Christmas donut and has it tangled into nearly every scene and discussed so much that it overtakes the romance and even a bit of the grief for the father.
This is a sad book. Those who have suffered a recent loss could find this either impossible to read or therapeutic.
